Sharing is a manifestation of caring.
Being the grandparents of seven, my
husband and I started a Grandchildren Hall of Fame for them. When they
reach ten, they are inducted...candlelit ceremony and all. We call it
the Jaconi Grandchildren Hall of Fame. The
pledge they take is:
I will do what is expected at home and
school; respect others and myself; cope instead of cry; whisper instead
of whine; exhibit good table manners; respect the property of others
and myself; help Hall of Famers (Hofits) in training; tell the truth always; be a
good citizen and faithful to my country and lastly...I will continue to
do these to the best of my ability.
The youngest Dwyer/Eisenstein grandchild, Kevin was inducted on Thanksgiving Day with his brothers and cousins present at a candlelight ceremony.
When I took early retirement I
remembered the song by Peggy Lee...'Is That All There Is?" and
decided I didn't want to adopt that view point. I began to take Yoga,
read more, sew and knit more, as well as write. It is due to the latter
that my first novel "They Stay the Same" has been published
and is now available.
